Changing the way I do things.

Hey everyone, quick update with where I am at the moment. After a few months of being absolutely swamped and overwhelmed by Sketch Card work, I have been re-thinking the way I do things. I will take the next few weeks to get on top of the last few commitments I have, take a week off, then move forward doing things a little bit differently then I have in the past. I have decided to cut back on official work. One set at a time from now on, what sets they are will all depend on timing. If I am not doing one at the time I am asked to do one, that will be the one I do. Only a month or two ago I had 5 sets going at once, and any fun I got from Sketch Cards was gone due to the fact I "had" to do them just to make each deadline. Don't get me wrong, every set I was on was an awesome opportunity I was super thankful for, but it was just way too much. I will be doing more commission work. I miss being an active member or such sites as Scoundrel and deviantART, with new stuff to post regularly, so I will be doing more PSC work which I am really looking forward to. Lastly I plan to update blogs, and do regular Ustream casts. These are both things I really wanted to do more of but just got so far behind in work I didn't have time to, so look for more of both of these in the near future.

Ok, so I didn't post on here as often as I said I would. I will have some updates soon as to what I am up to and what not, so stay posted. In the mean time, here is a few new Sketch Cards, as well as a The Marvels Projects cover I have done recently.

Marvel 70th Anniversary Cards Done

I have finally finished up my commitments on the Marvel 70th Anniversary set. It was my first official set, and though it was extremely stress full at times, I did find it to be an overall positive experience, and would love to work on another official set, should the opportunity arise. I will post a list of all the cards I have done for this set in the next few weeks.
Now that I have some free time again, I will be taking around a week off drawing, then spending around 2 weeks catching up on some other projects, before opening commissions up again towards the end of the month.

A Few New Cards

Hey everyone, hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year. Mine was really relaxed which was good. Back to work tomorrow, not sure how I feel about that haha. Anyway I am still working hard at my Marvel 70th Anniversary cards, which you can still keep track of in one of my older posts, which I will continue to update till I am finished. I also had some time to do a few commissions, so finally have something to post on this blog.

Black Adam, Black Widow, Claire Bennet, Deborah Foreman, and Lady Deathstrike

Update

Not much to update, but here goes....

I am still working away at my Marvel 70th Anniversary cards. I have actually taken a turn for the better with these. I was really starting to stress about how bad I thought they were, and how lame everyone was going to think they were, but I have decided to just have fun with them, not over think them too much once they are done, and whatever people think, so be it. You can check out my progress with my list of cards to do/done in my last post, which I will keep updating there.
As thankful as i am for being on the Marvel set, I am eager to get them finished, as I have had to knock back a number of other awesome sets I would have loved to be on had I had the time. Here is hoping I will be lucky enough to get more offers in the future when I am not as busy. Sadlittles, Dreamers of Darkness hint hint (well not so much a hint, as just saying straight up what I want to do haha)

I just bought some Secret Invasion blank cover comics off ebay today. This is totally new to me, and something I didn't even really know exsitsted, but as soon as I saw them was like "that looks like fun!!!". I am so looking forward to doing these once I am done with the M70th cards. I have really only used markers since starting sketch cards, and have never used them on anything bigger. I am so excited to try something a bit bigger that I can really get some detail in.

I wish I had some artwork or something to post also, but the only two things I am working on at the moment I am not allowed to post.
